Deconstructed Birds!
Welcome to the Deconstructed Birds! gallery! Here, MYBC members were asked to "break down" some notable birds and recreate them using their distinct features. Use the arrows on either side of the framed image to scroll through the different depictions of each bird. Once you think you know what species of bird is pictured, use the buttons below each frame to reveal the bird's true identity!
A Piping plover blord (bird orb). Orange legs, black collar, orange bill with the black tip, and a forehead stripe. Looking at this Plover head on!
A Piping plover with no outline! It almost looks like a smiley face. We can still see those orange legs, orange/black bill, black collar and forehead.
A yarn of a deconstructed Piping plover. Straight orange legs and that small orange bill with black tip. The black collar and black forehead stripe! This bird is savvy in textiles!

This deconstructed bird has got a dandelion for the yellow behind the eyes! A ripped page from a book for the white throat and head stripe. Love the seashell body and pine cone wing! Profile view.
This bird has a white throat, and a tube of paint shows off the yellow between the eye and beak (aka the lores). A button eye, some battery wings, and some warm-colored ear buds for legs! Pens bordering a napkin capture the crown stripes on this bird.
What's this?! A laundry bird?? A folded shirt (I think) takes care of the shite throat, yellow behind the eyes and head stripe. Plain gray belly and pinkish sweater legs. And a tail sock!

A scribbly fellow! 💙Blue all the way down the back, 🖤black throat that comes up around the face and sides, and 🤍white underneath. I can even see a white spot ⚪️on the wing!
It's a pair of warblers facing each other! Both male and female have the small white wing patch, otherwise they have a lot of color differences. Little oval birds with lil black beaks!
A deconstructed squiggly warbler! Blue over black over white. The song this bird sings is indeed a super buzz. Take a second to look it up and listen for yourself!

A jellybean bird! Lighter head, darker wings, and yellow patches on and under wings, and on sides of tail. Our most appetizing deconstructed bird yet!
These deconstructed birds facing each other have retained their color spots and general coloring(⚫️🟠 male, ⚪️🟡 female)! I can see the spots on the tail, one stripe on the wing, and an armpit spot showing. I wonder what these deconstructed redstarts are talking about??
Deconstructed birds from down under! Looking up, I see the flashes of yellow or orange on the tail, and also the armpits. They love to fan their tails out like that too.

A squiggly deconstructed flying bird! Green overall, red chin, hanging out at a flower. These birds can hover in front of these flowers for a long time without breaking a sweat!
Whoa, this is a high-tech deconstructed bird! It’s a pipette that holds just a tiny bit of liquid at a thin tip. Little red throat and a green highlighter. A robot bird!
That bill is super thin. Add to that the red throat, small wings, and compact tail, and you’ve got yourself this special bird.

This is our most geometric submission. The orange front is puffed out — robins stand exactly like that.

A colorful deconstruction of a male bird in flight! Green head, yellow bill, those blue patches at the back of the wing, and the orange feet. Getting ready to land on a pond near you!
